Langtang
Region
The northern region from Kathmandu,
LANGTANG, the lovely narrow valley is decorated by beautiful
mountains (Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Larjung, etc.), Tamang &
Sherpa village, temperate forest and alpine pasture, glaciers,
lakes snowy peaks, cascading waterfalls and turbulent streams
to sub alpine grassland and stark. The
Langtang Valley is reach in term of flora & fauna. So
most of this area is protected by Langtang National Park since
1971. Gosainkunda lake at 14365
ft is sacred to Lord Shiva and every summer there throng thousands
of Hindu devotees to take a holy dip into the water of Suryakunda.
