Tea-House (Lodge) Trek

A trek where the trekkers walk along with a Guide & Porter, eat breakfast, lunch & dinner at lodges whenever & wherever it is accessed and you feel necessary. Guide gives you the proper suggestion to stay & eat where & when. Porter assists you to bring your baggage up to 30 kg. We (Himalayan Trek & Expd.) provide one guide & porters (no. of porter is depends on your baggage weight) for your trek. Please read "A day in Tea-House (Lodge) Trek".

For your information, there is no more possibilities to do Tea-House in all region in Nepal Himalayas because of isolated settlement and unavailability of lodges and local environment. Trekking in Annpurna & Everest (Khumbu) region is possible to go Tea-House trek because there are proper management of lodges and foods.

We refer Tea-House (Lodge) trek for individual trekker, a small group of trekker, economic tourist or as you wish (i.e. depends on your choice) because this type of trek is easy and economic still you will get the more enjoyment. But make sure that you have all the elementary accessories and sufficient travel gear and you're fully prepared.

Here is cost detail for Tea-House Trek:

  • Airport Transportation: US$ 10.00 per person per transfer.
  • Sight Seeing in Kathmandu: US$ 50.00 per person. (Boudha, Pashupati & Swayambhu only)
  • Guide's Salary: US$ 30.00 per day (upto 4 pax) & US$ 40.00 per day (more than 4 pax)
  • Guide's Insurance: US$ 30.00
  • Guide's Airfare: US$ 70.00 (Round Trip Fare; wherever applicable)
  • Porter's Wages: US$ 20.00 per day per porter.
  • Porter's Insurance: US$ 20.00 per porter
  • Porter's Destination Sur Charge: US$ 50.00 per porter.
  • Local Transportation to Pokhara/Chitwan/Dhunche (by Tourist Coach): US$ 20.00 per person.
  • Sherpa's Salary: US$ 25.00 Per day per Sherpa (if group size is more than 5 pax, we suggest you to hire Sherpa for porters' arrangement & local management (lodges).
  • Sherpa's Insurance: US$ 30.00 per Sherpa.
  • National Park Fee: US$ 30 for ACAP & US$ 20.00 for other!
  • Company Service Charge: US$ 100.00 per person.
  • Your normal expenses during the trek: US$ 10-30 per person per day (depends on trekking area, Everest region is expensive than other area).
  • Hotel in Kathmandu/Pokhara:
  • Normal Standard: US$ 25/35 Single/Double Per Night 
  • 2* Standard: US$ 40/50 Single/Double Per Night.
  • 3* Standard: US$ 60/80 Single Double Per Night.
  • 4* Standard: US$ 120/150 Single/Double Per Night.
  • 5* Standard: US$ 150/180 Single/Double Per Night.
  • Airfare (Round Trip including domestic airport tax & Insurance. Please note that the airfare could be changed by associated airlines) :
  • KTM-PKR-KTM: US$ 152.00
  • KTM-PPL-KTM: US$ 185.00
  • KTM-LUA-KTM: US$ 195.00
  • KTM-BHARATPUR-KTM: US$ 152.00
  • MOUNTAIN FLIGHT: US$ 120.00

    06:30 Coffee/Tea, Breakfast!
    07:00 Start your an adventurous day towards your destination with your guide & porter
    11:30 Lunch at lodge on the trekking trail.
    15:30 Possibly a cup of tea/coffee. Probably will enjoy with your power bars & chocolates, confectionery and cookie whenever you'll feel hungry.
    17:45 Guide suggest you where to stay overnight; take a room and have a rest with soup.
    18:15 Dinner will wait to you. You can order whatever you love and possibly available.
    20:30 Guide informs you about your next day's trekking trail and it's feature. And have a sweet dream!
